I don’t think I would be comfortable in town at night without a group to walk with but I felt pretty safe with my guide and my group. I especially loved walking around the Castillo de San Marcos and hearing the creepier side of the story.
I’m a history teacher so my kids are pretty used to pretty blunt explanations of historical facts. They enjoyed all the ghost stories. If yours are bothered by stories of, for example, how people are buried or the realities of epidemics, you might want to consider whether it is right for your kiddos.
Just to be clear it is a walking tour, so be sure to rest up a little if you’ve been out in the sun all day. Bring a small flashlight or charge up your phone for a light and you’ll be fine. Took around an hour to complete the tour.

He was animated, full of life and welcomed us to take as many pictures as possible of the areas we searched for any activity. Although we did not capture anything on film, it was a great experience.
